FÁS

Frontend were commissioned by FÁS to rebuild their site, www.fas.ie, so that it complied with the Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) and NDA IT Accessibility Guidelines [Version 1.1] to levels 1, 2 and 3.

Frontend created new WAI priority 3 compliant HTML templates and rebuilt the entire site without any changes to the existing visual design. The new templates feature placeholders for META content, in line with the Public Sector Web Publishing Guidelines and have been tested using the online Bobby test. The site also underwent an extensive QA process ensuring complete compliance with the WAI Checklist of Checkpoints for Web Content Accessibility 1.0. Frontend also provided training to key FÁS personnel to ensure that they were able to maintain consistent standards of WAI compliance in the long term.
