Accessibility Training - Cork County Council |
|
Following Frontend’s accessibility testing and revisions to the Cork County Council website, the Council asked Frontend to carry out accessibility training with approximately 80 staff to ensure ongoing compliance of their website. Frontend provided a series of lectures along with practical workshops. The key to success was managing the distributed authoring process. Frontend developed an easy to follow quality control procedure for all published web content – making it easier to maintain accessibility compliance. The programme not only involved explaining the rules and theories of accessible content, but we also helped Cork County Council staff develop their content publishing and editing skills. This accessibility training was part of a larger accessibility strategy were Frontend worked with Cork County Council providing accessibility testing, site revisions and user centred planning. The result was the achievement of the prestigious Excellence Through Accessibility (ETA) award in 2007. The website can be viewed at www.corkcoco.ie |
Frontend are a finalist in the 2012 Interaction Awards for the Out of Box Experince of Accu-Chek Aviva.
