Kerry Group is an international leader in taste & nutrition innovation with worldwide revenues in 2023 of approximately USD 8 Billion. Their brand, Da Vinci Gourmet is a world leader in providing high quality sauces, syrups, smoothies & frappés for the specialty drinks market. Kerry Group engaged Frontend to conduct a strategic assessment of how they can grow their market share in Europe with a particular emphasis on digital opportunities. Over a series of stakeholder workshops, coupled with desk research, Frontend explored the market environment across European jurisdictions, identifying potential areas for growth.
Within individual markets we explored Market Sizing ($), Routes to Market (RTM), Competitive landscapes, Target Customers (B2B, B2C), Product Resonance, eCommerce & MarCom’s. We also gathered insights from other international markets to identify potential opportunities applicable to Europe. Understanding the RTM was critical, ensuring that current fulfilment partners remained on-board and digital initiatives did not undermine existing revenue models. However, we also explored how the brand could be built by increasing awareness, relevance and ease of purchase.
The outcome was a strategic roadmap identifying key markets (where), target audiences (who), key products (what) and potential initiatives (how) – prioritised over phases.
